Music
The Music Curriculum at Queniborough School is led by Mrs Metcalfe.
We follow the Leicestershire Music Primary Scheme of Work, which offers a well‑sequenced and progressive approach from the Early Years through to Year 6. This ensures pupils steadily build their musical knowledge, skills and understanding while developing a genuine enjoyment of music.
Our curriculum is designed to inspire and engage children through high-quality music education, nurturing creativity, confidence and imagination. Pupils are given regular opportunities to explore and express themselves through a wide range of musical experiences, including singing, rhythm work, composition, instrumental learning and listening activities, helping them to achieve a strong sense of personal success and a lasting appreciation of music.
Musical Opportunities
Queniborough School regularly takes part in mass choir opportunities, including events such as Young Voices. These exciting experiences allow pupils to sing as part of a large-scale choir, build confidence, and enjoy performing alongside children from other schools.
Piano Tuition
Mr White is our Piano teacher. He teaches Piano lessons on Thursdays and Fridays to children from different age groups across the school. If you are interested in piano tuition for your child please contact the school office.
